I, Riya Vijay Patni, am filing this formal complaint against Jeeves Consumer Services Pvt. Ltd. regarding their failure to process my Warranty claim & deficiency in Service under the "Complete Laptop Protection (3 Years)" plan. The details of the complaint are as follows:

  1. Policy Details:

    • Device Insured: Infinix Y4 Max Series Intel Core i5 13th Gen 1335U (16 GB/512 GB SSD/Windows 11 Home) YL613 Thin and Light Laptop, 16 inch, Blue, 1.78 kg
    • Purchase Date: 07/06/2024
    • Policy Validity: 07/06/2024 – 06/06/2027
  2. Claim Details:
    • Claim ID: CLAFLK333015611857715
    • Claim Registration Date: 01/02/2025
    • Laptop Pickup Date: 08/02/2025
    • Pickup Person: Mr. Rakesh Godbole (Jeeves Service Engineer)
    • Contact: 9021145757
  3. Nature of Complaint:
    • It has been over 1 month and 20 days since claim registration and 1 month and 12 days since laptop pickup, yet Jeeves Consumer Services Pvt. Ltd. has not provided any status update on the return or repair of the laptop.
    • Despite multiple attempts via emails and customer support calls (12- 15 calls in the last 30 days), no concrete response has been received from Jeeves.
    • The standard response given by Jeeves, both via email and call, is that they do not have any update and will revert in 48 hours. However, no update has been provided to date.
    • I registered the claim during my academic break from my hometown Nagpur, and now I went back to my college, NLSIU, Bengaluru, on the 3rd March 2025. The laptop is not received till now, I would like to know how it will be delivered to Bengaluru.
    • Jeeves unilaterally closed my complaint on 28.02.2025 (as mentioned in their email), without providing any repair / relief and without returning Laptop. Till today 19.03.2025 more than 20 days after closing the complaint wherein they decided to return laptop without any repair, I'm waiting for my laptop to deliver back.
  4. Breach of Contract & Deficiency of Service:
    • The failure to process the claim within a reasonable time constitutes gross negligence and deficiency in service.
    • The lack of any response from Jeeves violates my consumer rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
    • This delay is causing me undue hardship and inconvenience, as I am unable to use my laptop for professional and academic purposes.
    • I have suffered mental trauma and stress due to the prolonged delay and the excessive time wasted in repeated follow-ups with Jeeves Customer Care support.
  5. Relief Sought:
    • Immediate resolution of my claim – either a repaired/replacement laptop or the insured amount as per the policy terms.
    • Compensation for mental agony and inconvenience caused due to unnecessary delays and wasted time in follow-ups.
    • Penalty on Jeeves Consumer Services Pvt. Ltd. for failing to meet their obligations under the policy.
I initially raised complaint against 'Jeeves' in NCH (National Consumer Helpline), wherein they have also closed the Complaint without providing any relief (informing that Company Flipkart not able to connect with me after trying multiple times hence closing the complaint and asked me to re-register complaint with alternate mobile number). When I first received email intimation from Flipkart that they are unable to connect with me on my registered contact number, immediately I provided my Alternate Number through Email (Email Copy attached), then also Flipkart tried to connect again on registered contact number and closed the complaint.
If required I can also furnish by Alternate Mobile Number # 9511277588 Call Records to confirm how many times and for how long each time my call to Jeeves Customer Care for resolution of issue.

I request the Consumer Court, Nagpur to take strict action against Jeeves Consumer Services Pvt. Ltd. & Flipkart for their failure to provide timely service and seek appropriate redressal as per applicable laws and regulations.
