I want to request as under, please: -
My complaint is against:
IDFC FIRST BANK Branch Hall BAZAR, Amritsar
GroundFloor, Plot No.3/1

  1. Staff of IDFC First Bank, Hall Gate Branch, Amritsar promised me to give interest at the rate of 7.35% /year , for the 500-day FD.
  2. They promised that the amount would be converted immediately into an FD as soon as the amount is transferred to their Hall Bazar Branch.
  3. I submitted the cheque of fifteen lakh to that Bank (IDFC FIRST BANK HALL BAZAR AMRITSAR BRANCH) for fetching the amount from the SBI Bank
  4. IDFC FIRST BANK HALL BAZAR BRANCH sent me through courier a passbook containing the entry dated 16-09-2026 of the account number and an entry of 15 lakh Rs. Amount, debit card, and cheque book.
  5. But they did not fulfil their promise of converting the amount into an FD, despite my repeated requests and visits to the branch.
  6. Under duress and worry, I submitted my request to the branch to place a hold on my entire amount so that any cyber fraud could not take place on my hard-earned money while remaining outside an FD, and now my entire fund is placed under a hold.
  7. As,
(a)My amount has not been converted into an FD despite my requests.​
(b) The bank branch's e-mail ID, the branch manager's name, and his/her mobile number have not been provided to me for official communication.​
(c)Form titled “Do positive pay of this cheque " has not been furnished to me despite repeated requests.​
(d)A decision on my application dated 30-09-2026 has not been sent to me. The application was sent through speed Post.​
Because of all the above points, I have been frustrated by the branch staff, and it compelled me to shift my amount to SBI, for which the said form is required to be submitted to IDFC FIRST BANK HALL BAZAR BRANCH AMRITSAR for clearing my cheque, which the SBI would seek.​
As, a hold on my funds is going on as per my request for security purposes, I sent a request dated 30-09-2026 to the branch manager to give a decision that my amount should remain under hold while transferring the amount to SBI Bank. I request you to redress my complaint.
