I would like to lodge a complaint against Flipkart for unfair trade practices and deficiency in service.
Complaint Details:
I placed an order on Flipkart for the Prestige Svachh Duo GTSD 03 with Liftable & Superior Toughened Glass Manual Gas Stove (Black) at the promotional price of ₹5,300 (49% discount). The order was successfully confirmed by Flipkart.
However, the very next day, Flipkart cancelled my order without any valid reason attributable to me. I was informed by customer support that I should place a fresh order.
When I attempted to reorder the same product, the price had increased to ₹7,600. As a result, I am unable to purchase the product at the price at which my order was originally confirmed. This has caused me financial loss and significant inconvenience.
I contacted Flipkart customer support multiple times and requested either restoration of my original order or a price adjustment so that I could purchase the product at the confirmed price. Unfortunately, no satisfactory resolution has been provided.
I believe this amounts to:
Deficiency in service.
Unfair trade practice by cancelling a confirmed order and asking the customer to repurchase the same product at a much higher price.
Failure to honor the confirmed order and promotional price.
Relief Sought:
Restore my cancelled order at the original confirmed price of ₹5,300, or provide the same product at that price.
Provide appropriate compensation for the inconvenience and financial loss caused due to the wrongful cancellation.
Take necessary action to prevent such unfair practices from affecting other consumers.
I have attached copies of the order confirmation, cancellation message, screenshots showing the current price of ₹7,600, and my communication with Flipkart customer support in support of my complaint.
I request the National Consumer Helpline to intervene and help resolve this matter at the earliest.
