I wish to lodge a complaint regarding the highly unsatisfactory after-sales service provided by Epson India through its authorized service partner, PG Tronics.

I reported a printer issue and availed a paid service visit. However, despite charging for the service, the engineer failed to resolve the problem and left the site without providing a proper fix. I was advised to print multiple pages and wait for the issue to resolve automatically, but the problem persisted. Subsequently, a recommendation was made to replace a component without conducting a thorough inspection or providing a technical justification.

Since then, I have raised multiple service requests, complaints, and follow-up escalations through Epson customer care. Despite repeated calls and emails over several weeks, the issue remains unresolved. On multiple occasions, service requests were closed without my consent and without addressing the reported problem. The status updates provided were neither transparent nor accurate.

The customer care team has consistently assured me that the issue would be resolved; however, they appear to have no authority over the authorized service partner and are unable to provide meaningful updates or corrective action. As a result, I have been forced to repeatedly explain the same issue to different agents, causing unnecessary inconvenience, loss of time, frustration, and mental stress.

Furthermore, requests for escalation details and higher-level intervention were either ignored or not acted upon. I was informed that an alternate service provider would be assigned, but no such action has been taken to date. The conduct of the authorized service partner indicates a lack of accountability and customer focus, and Epson's apparent inability to effectively monitor or manage its authorized vendor network has significantly aggravated the situation.

I would also like to highlight that Epson has refunded the service charges; however, my objective was never to seek a refund. I require the printer to be repaired and remain willing to pay for genuine service and replacement parts, if required.

I believe this constitutes a clear case of deficiency in service, lack of transparency, unfair business practices, and failure to provide adequate customer support despite repeated complaints and payment for services.

I therefore request appropriate relief, including:

  1. Immediate resolution of the printer issue through a competent service engineer.
  2. Compensation for the inconvenience, time, and mental harassment caused due to prolonged inaction.
  3. Appropriate directions to Epson India to strengthen oversight of its authorized service partners and customer grievance handling process.
Despite several attempts to resolve the matter amicably, no satisfactory resolution has been provided, leaving me with no option but to seek redressal through the Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission.
