Hello @vino

We are outlining the first step to be taken before filing a case in the Consumer Forum.

First send an email to the customer care (customersupport@dtdc.com) of the DTDC, clearly outlining your concerns and attach the receipt.

This step not only gives the DTDC a chance to address the issue but also helps strengthen your case against them, if you decide to file a complaint with the Consumer Forum later.

Please wait for a reasonable time for their response. If they do not respond or fail to resolve the matter satisfactorily, feel free to reach out to us again. When you do, kindly include a copy of your email to them and any response (if received), so we can guide you on the next steps.

Judgments against DTDC:

The complainant is dealer of Medical Equipment Accessories and consumables. The opponent is door to door courier Service Company which provides express delivery. The complainant booked consignment with the opponent under express mode because it contained medicine which is temperature sensitive. The opponent promised to deliver the consignment within 24 hours. The consignment did not reached Nagpur, so consigner contacted the complainant for information. The complainant enquired with booking agent, who confirmed that the parcel could not reach Nagpur due to Diwali rush. The opponent was aware of nature of consignment, they did not inform the complainant about non delivery nor do they return goods immediately back to the complainant. The complainant made telephonic calls as well as e-mail correspondence with the opponent about consignment but there was no positive response.

Order:

1. The complaint is partly allowed.

2. The opponent is hereby directed pay an amount of ₹68,901/- as value of goods, within 60 days from the receipt of this order.

3. The opponent is hereby directed to pay compensation of ₹10,000/- for deficiency in service, hardship and loss of goodwill, within a period of 60 days from receipt of this order.
