Jio Customer Care,
I am writing this email with extreme disappointment and frustration regarding the very poor experience I have faced immediately after initiating the porting of my Airtel number ******0794 to Jio.
I successfully completed the porting application through the Jio app and also made the required recharge payment successfully. My Order Reference Number is NO00015FK82R.
After completing the process, I received communication stating that a delivery executive named Nagarjun (Contact Number: 7349079876) would deliver the Jio SIM card to my home free of charge. Even your customer care team confirmed that the SIM delivery service was completely free.
However, today the delivery person called me and clearly stated that unless I paid him a “delivery fee” along with an additional ₹99, he would not deliver the SIM card. When I informed him that the delivery was supposed to be free, he rudely responded that he did not care and that I could “talk to customer care or get it delivered by someone else.” He outright refused delivery unless extra money was paid to him.
This behavior is completely unacceptable and highly unethical. As a new customer who has just decided to port into Jio, this is the kind of harassment and misconduct I am facing on Day 1 itself. It appears nothing less than an attempt to forcefully take extra money/bribe from customers.
To make matters worse, I even visited a nearby Jio Store in Bangalore (PIN code: 560038), but they informed me that since I had already completed the process online through the app, they could not help me further.
I would like to ask: Is this really the level of customer service Jio provides to customers who are porting into your network? Are delivery executives allowed to demand unauthorized money from customers and deny delivery if customers refuse?
I request you to treat this matter with utmost seriousness and urgency. Please:
Immediately investigate this complaint.
Ensure that the SIM delivery is completed without any extra charges.
Take strict action against the delivery executive for demanding unauthorized payment and misbehaving with a customer.
Confirm that such incidents will not happen to other customers in the future.
I also have another active Jio number, on which I am reachable for any clarification regarding this complaint.
I expect a prompt resolution and strict action from your side.
