I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding my recent hotel booking made through your platform on 23/06/2026 for Dharamshala.
When I reached the property on 24/06/2026 at 8:00 AM, the actual situation was completely different from the images shown on the MakeMyTrip app. Firewood was burning inside, the entire environment was suffocatingly full of smoke, and there was no reception counter or basic facility to keep our luggage. Furthermore, the property owner's behavior was extremely rude and uncoperative.
Because of this unsafe and hostile environment, I immediately called MMT Customer Care around 8:30 AM (well before my 11:00 AM check-in time) to cancel the booking and request a refund. However, your customer care executives kept delaying the matter with false promises of calling back. They deliberately wasted two days of my time. Now, they are offering me a "future discount coupon" and refusing to process my refund, citing a "No Refund Policy."
Please note that I did not cancel for my own convenience; I was forced to cancel due to the property's pathetic condition and the owner's refusal to provide basic services. I had to go through severe mental harassment and physical exhaustion searching for another hotel with my children and heavy luggage, which completely ruined my trip.
This is a clear case of "Deficiency in Service" and "Unfair Trade Practice." I do not want any future discount coupons. Since my payment was made via netbanking , I strictly demand a Full Refund to my original payment source within 48 hours.
I have attached the original booking details, screenshots, and pictures of the property's actual condition for your reference.
