Respected Sir/Madam,
I, Mr. Hemant Mishra, hereby submit this complaint under the provisions of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, against Ageas Federal Life Insurance Company Limited for fraud, unfair trade practice, and gross deficiency in service.
In the year 2024, I was induced by the authorized sales representatives of the opposite party to purchase two insurance policies strictly on a Single Premium basis. I had clearly and categorically informed the sales representatives, both verbally and in writing, that I was not interested in any regular/recurring premium policy under any circumstances.
Relying upon their representations and assurances, I signed the proposal forms and related documents exclusively for Single Premium policies. However, without my knowledge, consent, or authorization, the sales representatives, acting with malafide intent, fraudulently issued both policies on a Regular Premium basis. This constitutes fraud, misrepresentation, unfair trade practice, and deficiency in service.
Due to the illegal acts of the opposite party and its employees, I have suffered continuous financial loss, severe mental harassment, and hardship for the past two years. Despite repeated follow-ups, written complaints, and telephonic communications, the opposite party has failed to resolve my grievance or refund my amount.
I was further constrained to approach the Council for Insurance Ombudsman, yet no relief or response has been provided by the insurance company, demonstrating willful negligence and disregard for statutory and consumer protection obligations.
I have completely lost faith in the opposite party and do not wish to continue with the said policies.

- Refund of the entire amount of ₹8,00,000/- (Rupees Eight Lakh Only) paid by me;
- Compensation for financial loss, mental agony, and harassment suffered;
- Any other relief deemed fit and proper by this Hon’ble Commission.
