Complaint Title: Non-Refund of Order Amount, Fake Compensation Coupon, False Resolution Remarks and Deficiency in Service by Swiggy
Complaint Details:
I am filing this complaint against Swiggy Limited for unfair trade practice, deficiency in service, mental harassment, and refusal to provide a proper refund despite repeated complaints.
I placed an order through the Swiggy platform and faced an issue for which I requested a refund to my original payment method. However, instead of resolving the issue properly, the company repeatedly denied my refund request and only claimed that compensation had been provided.
The company stated that a compensation coupon was issued to me, but the coupon either did not work or was never properly credited to my account. Even after multiple attempts, I was unable to use the so-called compensation. This clearly shows that the company gave false and misleading resolution remarks only to close the complaint without actually solving the issue.
I continuously contacted Swiggy support through the app, customer support system, and even through Twitter/X platform, but no proper response or resolution was provided. I have been repeatedly ignored despite providing all proofs and screenshots. The company’s behavior has caused me significant mental stress, inconvenience, waste of time, and harassment.
I also filed a complaint through the National Consumer Helpline (NCH), but Swiggy falsely informed that compensation had already been offered and the complaint was closed without proper verification. The issue still remains unresolved because neither a valid refund nor a usable compensation was provided to me.
Swiggy has clearly failed to provide fair customer service and has adopted an irresponsible approach towards consumer grievances. The company should not be allowed to close complaints using false statements while denying the actual refund requested by the consumer.
Therefore, I request the Hon’ble Consumer Commission to:
1. Direct Swiggy to provide a full refund to the original payment method.
2. Take action against the company for false complaint resolution remarks.
3. Provide compensation for mental harassment, inconvenience, and wastage of time.
4. Ensure that such unfair practices are not repeated with other consumers.
