Sir/ Madam,

I would like to state that Mr. Anil Kashyap (Mob:8874632961), introducing himself as academic counsellor from Aakash Institute visited several time in my Service quarter in Air Force Station Chakeri Kanpur and offer me 65% fee concession as scholarship for IIT JEE preparation for my Daughter and consequently increases the scholarship discount to 95% and forced me to take admission in First batch as seats are limited and getting full quickly. I denied a number of times but took admission of my daughter on 03 Dec 24 by paying Rs. 20000/-

Further on 08 Jan 25 my daughter decided to pursue B.Sc LLB integrated course after 10+2 instead of IIT. I immediately inform telephonically to cancel admission and asked for refund to Mr. Anil. He told me that the amount i have paid is non-refundable as it is registration fee. I visited the branch and requested the same in writing to ABM Phoolbagh Mr. Bhoopendra Singh on 01 Feb 25. He suggested me to send a mail to grievances@aesl.in as the amount I paid is non-refundable and he cannot help me.

I sent a mail to the said e-mail id on 01 Mar 25 requesting for cancellation of admission and refund of advance fee paid. The replied that the fee paid was non-refundable registration fee. Once again, I mailed for reconsideration of my case as I was not properly aware of their policy, and no one briefed me regarding this from your team, apart from this respecting my daughter's decision to study LLB, i cannot force her to study for JEE.

Without reconsidering my case they send me an SMS that my daughter's service is terminated and asked to share our feedback on 16 Mar 25.

I would hereby like to request that my fee may be refunded as my daughter had not taken any class or availed any service of the institute because the classes are scheduled to commence from Apr 25 and the admission was an advance admission, apart from this i have informed the institute well before in time by Verble as well as in writing about the decision not to continue and you have already terminated the service before the class start. Further i would like to state that the parents of children should not be forced by the academic counsellor to take admission in first batch and also not to scare them by saying that fees to be increased soon, and they must be clearly told about the refund policy.

I'm sorry to hear about the challenges you're facing in obtaining a refund after canceling your admission. To address this issue effectively, consider the following steps before filing case in the Consumer Forum:

  1. Contact the Institution:
    • Send a letter via REGISTERED POST to the institution's admissions or finance department to formally request a refund. Don't forget to keep the acknowledgement.
  2. Approach the Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission:
    • If you have not received any response or refund, you can file a case in the Consumer Forum.
  3. Seek Legal Counsel:
    • Consult with our legal professional experienced in consumer protection and education-related disputes.
Thanks
