Hello,
I have purchased an apartment in 2019 on deffered payment plan for which I have made a payment of 55% untitl February 2024 based on payent demand from the builder. The project completion was supposed to be June 2023 however due to covid19 related extension approved by RERA, the project was further slashed for completion in Dec 2023. Builder hasn't completed project as of date and when I asked for refund in January 2025 due to extreme financial constraints, builder has agreed to refund however only 20% of my invested amount imposing arbitrary penalties. I had been communicating with the CRM of the company for 2 months since January 2025and due to their obdurate approach I had conveyed to them via email that I am going to take appropriate legal action.
I filed a grievance on 2-May-2025 with MOHUA helpline and the grievance was forwarded to Shri Nitin R Gorkan, then Principal Secretary of Housing and Urban Planning department however no action was taken on the grievance and I could not receive an appropriate feedback from the consumer affairs helpline executives about the status of the complaint and finally I was advised to file a complaint with District Consumer Affairs.
Kindly advise
