I placed an order on Amazon India (Order No. 171-2181941-9165931) and later returned the product within the allowed return policy. The return pickup was successfully completed by Amazon’s delivery partner after collecting the package from my address.
After the return was completed, Amazon failed to issue my refund of approximately ₹717. When I contacted customer support multiple times, I was informed that an investigation was in progress. I cooperated fully and also shared photographs/evidence showing the product that was delivered to me and the item that was returned.
After keeping the matter pending for more than one month, Amazon finally rejected my refund claim stating that the returned item did not match the original purchase. However, they refused to provide any proof, photographs, or details of their investigation, citing internal privacy policies.
This is unfair and amounts to deficiency in service and unfair trade practice because:

- No issue was raised at the time of pickup.

I request the Hon’ble Consumer Commission to direct Amazon India to:
- Refund the full amount of the order.
- Pay compensation for mental harassment and inconvenience caused.
- Reimburse litigation/complaint expenses.
- Take corrective action to prevent such unfair treatment of customers in future.
