Dear Airtel Customer Support / Grievance Team,

I am writing to formally register a serious complaint regarding my Airtel AirFiber connection and, more importantly, the extremely poor manner in which my recent service requests have been handled.

I have been an Airtel internet customer for the past few years, and unfortunately, my experience with your customer service has repeatedly been disappointing.

In the past, when I requested a connection relocation, it took nearly two months for Airtel to respond appropriately. Even after going through the process, the relocation could not be completed successfully, which ultimately forced me to take a completely new connection in Nagpur.

Even the subsequent connection was frequently unstable and did not provide the level of reliability I expected.

However, my current issue is far more concerning.

Approximately six months ago, I took another Airtel AirFiber connection at my home. Recently, the wire connected to the router/AirFiber equipment has been damaged/broken, due to which my internet connection is currently unusable.

I have raised multiple complaints and service requests regarding this exact issue, expecting a technician to visit or at the very least expecting someone from Airtel to contact me.

Instead, Airtel has repeatedly closed my complaints as "resolved" without actually resolving anything.

No technician has visited.

No proper troubleshooting has been carried out.

In several instances, I have not even received a phone call before the complaint was marked as resolved.

I would genuinely like Airtel to explain how a customer complaint can be closed as resolved when:

  • The damaged wire has still not been repaired.
  • The internet connection is still not working.
  • No technician has visited the premises.
  • Nobody has spoken to me to confirm whether the issue has been resolved.
  • I, as the customer who raised the complaint, have never confirmed that the problem was fixed.
This is completely unacceptable.

What is even more frustrating is that there appears to be no straightforward way to speak to an actual customer-care representative. The Airtel app continuously redirects customers through automated options and bots, and the bot itself has been unable to properly address my problem or connect me with someone who can take responsibility for it.

At this point, I am left with a non-functional internet connection, repeated falsely closed service requests, and practically no meaningful way to communicate with Airtel.

Internet connectivity is essential for my work. Because of this unresolved issue, I am unable to use my home internet and am struggling even to attend important online calls properly. I am paying Airtel for a service that I am currently unable to use, while my complaints are being closed without resolution.

I therefore request the following:

  1. Immediately reopen/escalate my complaint and arrange for a technician to visit my premises and repair/replace the damaged wire.
  2. Provide an explanation as to why my previous complaints were marked as resolved without my confirmation and without any technician fixing the issue.
  3. Ensure that the complaint is not closed again until the connection has actually been restored and I have confirmed that the issue is resolved.
  4. Provide an appropriate billing adjustment/credit for the period during which I have been unable to use the service because of this unresolved fault.
  5. Provide me with a proper escalation point or representative whom I can contact if the issue remains unresolved.
I would also request Airtel to review its complaint-resolution process. Closing a customer's complaint without contacting them or resolving the underlying problem may improve internal ticket-closure numbers, but it does absolutely nothing for the customer who is still sitting without internet access.

I have already spent enough time repeatedly raising the same issue.

Please treat this as a formal escalation and arrange for the connection to be restored at the earliest.

If the matter continues to remain unresolved or if the complaint is once again closed without actually fixing the problem, I will have no option but to escalate the matter further through Airtel's grievance/appellate mechanism and the appropriate consumer grievance channels.

I expect a proper response and an actual resolution this time, rather than another automated closure of the complaint.

Regards,
Samay Parmal
