Respected Sir/Madam,

I, Vineet Bhoyar, am filing this complaint against Eureka Forbes Ltd. for deficiency in service, unfair trade practice, and mental and financial harassment caused due to their failure to provide a basic spare part for a product that is still being actively sold by them.

1. Product Details
• Product Name: Eureka Forbes Z10 Cordless Zerobend Upright Vacuum Cleaner
• Date of Purchase: Approximately 1.5 years ago
• Issue: Charger stopped working around 1.5 months ago

2. Chronology of Events
1. Around 1.5 months ago, the charger of my Eureka Forbes Z10 vacuum cleaner stopped working.
2. It took me nearly one full week to successfully get in touch with Eureka Forbes customer care.
3. After registering the complaint, there was no response or resolution for the next 2–3 weeks.
4. Due to continued inaction, I escalated the issue on social media, after which I was informed that the charger might be available by 31st December, without any firm confirmation.
5. A few days later, I received a call stating that the charger is “obsolete” and cannot be provided.
6. This claim is misleading and incorrect, as the same Eureka Forbes Z10 Cordless Zerobend Upright Vacuum Cleaner is currently being sold on their official website, which clearly proves that the product and its essential accessories cannot be obsolete.

3. Impact on Health and Financial Loss
• My child suffers from dust allergy, and due to the non-availability of the charger, we were unable to clean the house properly, especially during winter when dust accumulation is severe.
• This directly led to a serious health episode, and my child had to be hospitalized due to dust exposure.
• Just to prevent further deterioration of my child’s health, I was forced to purchase another vacuum cleaner, resulting in an additional financial burden of ₹10,000, apart from hospital and medical expenses.
• Despite regular follow-ups and repeated communication, no resolution has been provided by Eureka Forbes.

4. Grounds for Complaint
• Deficiency in Service: Failure to provide an essential spare part (charger).
• Unfair Trade Practice: Declaring a charger “obsolete” while continuing to sell the same product.
• Negligence and Harassment: Causing avoidable mental stress, health risk, and financial loss to the consumer.

5. Relief Sought

I respectfully request the Hon’ble Commission to direct Eureka Forbes to:
1. Provide the charger immediately, OR
2. Replace the vacuum cleaner with an equivalent or upgraded model, OR
3. Refund the full cost of the product, and
4. Compensate me for:
• ₹10,000 towards the forced purchase of another vacuum cleaner
• Medical and hospitalization expenses
• Mental agony and harassment caused
5. Impose appropriate penalties for unfair trade practices.

I declare that the facts stated above are true to the best of my knowledge and belief, and that no other complaint regarding this matter has been filed before any other forum.
