I purchased a product from Wakefit Baner Store in Pune - Ceviche Dining Table 4 to 6 convertible dining table. The product delivered had damages for which I had requested for replacement. The company has attempted 5 times to replace the table but every time the the table had gotten damaged during transit. One time they had even sent the product rejected by another customer. During all these replacement, following two things were observed - (a) the company has not standardization protocol for the manufacturing of the products. (b) the company has no quality control checks embedded in the process. Every time the table had different shades of polish and finish.
It has been over a month and during this period, I have spent countless hours talking to the customer care executives and store employees explaining them the case history. For every delivery I had to either take leave from my office to be at home or cancel my family plans to stay at home as the company did not provide any flexibility whatsoever in the delivery time. I have not only financial losses but also mental stress because of this.
Now the company is giving me two options - (a) return the complete product and take full refund, (b) accept compensation of INR 5,000 and the warranty will be void for the product. After spending so much time and efforts in finding the right table and ordering it and waiting for it for so long, we do not want to return the table. The compensation provided does not even cover the losses (financial and mental peace) i have incurred. On top of that the company is going to void the warranty on the product leaving me more vulnerable to future losses pertaining to the product.
