Dear Consumer Court Team
I am writing to bring to your attention a critical issue with my Mahindra XUV700, registration number UP32 NM 4512, which is registered in the corporate name of IDFC First Bank Limited under my control as Ashish Gupta. The vehicle has developed an engine failure issue while traveling from Lucknow to Jhansi, and I am seeking your assistance in resolving this matter.
The issue occurred when the engine failed while approaching Jhansi, and I had to contact the RSA service to tow the car to Natraj Mahindra Automobiles in Jhansi. The Service GM, Mr. Animesh Bhardwaj, informed me that the car needs to be diagnosed, and the report would be sent to Mahindra for further approvals. After generating the report and sending it to Mahindra, I received a request to open the engine for further inspection.
However, I am not comfortable with opening the engine, as the car is only 2.5 years old and has run only 34,000 kilometers. The car was serviced just 1,000 kilometers back at Lucknow Gomti Automobiles. Opening the engine would negatively impact the car's resale and market value, which I am not willing to compromise on.
I have spoken to Mr. Kamesh Dubey, the CCM, and Mr. Animesh Bhardwaj, but they have denied my request for providing the escalation matrix of Mr. kamesh Dubey, citing that opening the engine is necessary for further inspection. I am concerned that if the engine is opened and repaired, it will be reflected in the car's service and repair history, affecting its resale value.
Given that the car is still under warranty, I request that the engine be replaced with a new one rather than repairing the existing one. I would appreciate it if you could look into this matter and guide me on the next steps to resolve the issue.
