I am a 22 years Army veteran and had ordered online a cake and flowers for a friend’s birthday on 17/1/25. The birthday party was scheduled for 5 PM at Flat #1 first floor, Liberty Amber apartments, Near Rainbow kid’s school, Nashik 422222. By coincidence, that very date I was also at that address. Around 11 AM, I received a call from one Mr. Sailesh who claimed to call from "Global Florist" to ascertain the delivery address? On enquiry about delivery time, he said his job is to only confirm the address and location? Someone else will make the delivery? As follow up to my email dated 16 Jan (copy enclosed) I sent another email seeking delivery confirmation, since at 1PM I had not heard back from Arena flowers about delivery. For some reasons they had not even provided order # or delivery confirmation? (Email enclosed). Until 5 PM I waited for delivery at which time had to hurriedly visit a local cake and flower store to purchase for the birthday party? Thus I had to spend money twice due to lackadaisical attitude of Arena Flowers. And now on 20/1/25 they send an email stating that both items were delivered, where and when not known. During the entire process, learnt from different parties (while calling customer service), that Arena Flowers sub contracted order to one "Global Florist" who further subcontracted to one "Meera Flowers?"
I think due to repeated subcontracting the entire order was missed by Arena Flowers who now makes false delivery claims to avoid refunding Rs. 1524.
Your kind intervention in the matter is requested so that such companies are constrained to operate honestly and also refund payments refunded to my credit card. Thanking you

Thank you for sharing your detailed complaint. As the items were not delivered and the company falsely claims delivery, you can proceed as follows:

  1. Send a formal legal notice to Arena Flowers demanding a refund of ₹1524 within 15 days, citing their failure to fulfill the order and providing your evidence (emails, call records, and receipt for the alternate purchase).
  2. If they do not respond, file a case in the Consumer Forum for deficiency in service and false claims, seeking a refund and compensation for the inconvenience caused.
