I am writing to formally raise a concern regarding an order I recently placed on Swiggy platform. The delivery time shown at the time of placing order was less which drastically increased after placing the order so I cancelled the order within a minute to avoid any inconvenience to the delivery partner or restaurant.
However, I received a cancellation confirmation stating that I have been charged the full amount of ₹1150, with no refund to be issued.
I understand that Swiggy's refund policy may deny refunds in cases where resources are utilized or damage is caused due to the cancellation. However, in this case, the cancellation was done almost immediately after placing the order. As no food preparation or delivery process had started, no resources were used, and no damage was caused.
Given this context, I believe withholding the full amount is unjustified. I kindly request that you initiate a full refund of ₹1150 at the earliest. The amount is significant, and take the right action in accordance with the intent behind the policy.

Swiggy has a tactic of delaying by chatting with you or calling you so that they can say that preparation of your order is already started & you will be charged full cancellation fee. Please take necessary action & initiate my refund.
