Dear Sir/Madam,
I would like to file a complaint against a contractor who carried out construction work (chavadi work) at my residence.
Approximately two months ago, we contacted a person for constructing a chavadi. He visited the site, provided a quotation of Rs. 31,000, and we agreed to proceed with the work. The work was completed within two days; however, I was not present at home at the time of completion.
After returning home, I observed that the granite used was of very poor quality and the joints were not properly fixed or glued. I immediately took photographs and informed the contractor about the issue. He acknowledged the problem and assured me that he would send someone to rectify it. However, even after one month, no repair or replacement has been carried out. Currently, he is not responding to our calls or messages despite repeated follow-ups. I also informed him that I would be filing a complaint, but there has been no response.
We are not requesting any additional work or compensation beyond what was agreed. We only expect the contractor to provide the quality of work that was promised for the amount paid.
Therefore, I kindly request your intervention to take necessary action and help resolve this matter by directing the contractor to rectify the defective work or provide an appropriate remedy.
