Like many others we had the marketing call after we purchased our new car and I did take a 2 year membership. But the experience that followed the very first trip that we wanted to do was a very bad one: to assure that we could go and then find that we don't have any reservations at all.
We planned our first family trip to Chikkamagalur on Aug 15 to 17th. The trip intimation was done well in advance, and the hotel choice was provided on 9th Aug - which was Hotel Aadrika. We were assured that we will get booking ids 48 hours before check in. We went on the trip even though we didn't get any booking ids - but all along the journey, multiple times we called and all the time we were assured that we can continue with our plans without any problem. Could you imagine what happened when we reached the hotel at around 8.30pm? At the last moment when we reached the Hotel, they said that they could not book that Hotel for us. It was one of the worst experiences so far with family and kids. The hotel was fully booked and not only that all hotels in Chikkamagalur were fully booked. Now we had to try on our own to book Hotels but didn't find any. We had no option but return to Hassan and stay for the night and return back to Bangalore the next day.
Now start the painful part. Now they accepted that it's a mistake on their side and after multiple follow ups they finally sent a formal apology mail and confirmation of refund asking for 45 working days for the same. Manjunath the manager was in touch and asked us not to put up any Google reviews which we did so far. And now see this, we have waited for 45 and still not received the refund. The manager Manjunath who was assuring us of refund till now has gone unresponsive. And when we put back our Google review, they have the audacity to threaten legal action against us!
What type of legal action can we take on these people?
- Non delivery of services with false assurances
- Putting a family in precarious situation due to this
- False written commitment of refund
- Mental harassment and loss of personal time
- False accusation on us of legal action
