We purchased a sofa worth ₹29,924/- from Flipkart in April. This was a significant purchase made with the reasonable expectation of acceptable product quality, proper after-sales service, and warranty support.
Immediately upon delivery, we raised multiple complaints regarding the poor build quality of the sofa and missing components, including a mandatory bolt required for proper assembly and stability. Despite informing the vendor promptly, no corrective action was taken.Within one week of delivery, the sofa developed a serious structural defect: the sitting area collapses and sinks inward when someone sits on it, making it unsafe and completely unusable This clearly indicates substandard materials and manufacturing defects.The situation worsened when the vendor refused to acknowledge our calls and ultimately blocked all communication, deliberately evading responsibility. Despite being informed repeatedly and provided with evidence, Flipkart failed to resolve the issue or provide any closure, even after numerous follow-ups.
Due to missing parts, defective construction, and total failure of warranty support, the sofa became unusable within a week of delivery. We have been forced to keep this defective and unusable sofa in our home for over nine months, occupying our entire hall and causing continuous inconvenience, stress, and disruption to our living space.
This prolonged inaction has resulted in Financial loss, despite full payment,Mental harassment and distress & Severe inconvenience due to loss of usable space. The conduct of both the vendor and Flipkart constitutes gross negligence, deficiency in service, unfair trade practice, and failure to honor warranty obligations. As the platform facilitating the sale, Flipkart is equally liable for failing to ensure proper redressal and for allowing such vendor malpractice to persist on its platform. Flipkart promised to give resolution on 12th January 2026 but after that i have called them many times and still there is no resolution we are tired of this year long harassment
