Dear Sir(s),

I have ordered Lenovo L24i-4A monitor from Lenovo Website on May 8th 2025 and have made payment of Rs.5,924 via Razorpay. The Lenovo company have shipped the monitor on the same day from Bangaluru to Hyderabad. The product was handled by Delhivery courier services and the shipment reached Hyderabad (Medchal) on 10th May, 2025 via AWB# 22679710373402. Post that there has been no update in the delivery status, everyday I used to raise issue in customer support through Delhivery app but there used to be same response that they are trying their best to deliver the package at the earliest. They are even changing the estimated delivery date to the next day in their app. I have ordered the monitor as my eyes are straining from work pressure and working with monitor would reduce stress to my eyes. When raised a concern via email, the customer support have reverted saying they cannot give a timeline for delivery and rather asking to cancel the delivery from my end which is indicating a clear recklessness in discharging their duties. Therefore, I would request a compensation of equivalent amount of Rs. 5,924 paid by me for the monitor for the recklessness shown by Delhivery team and strain caused to my eyes for the past 20 days. Request to expediate the proceedings.

Hello @R V S Prasad

I'm sorry to hear about the delay in receiving your online order. Under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, consumers in India have the right to timely delivery of goods and services. Here's how you can address this issue:

Steps to Address the Undelivered Shipment

Steps before filing case in the Consumer Forum

1. Contact the Seller
Reach out to the Lenovo from whom you made the purchase. As per consumer rights, the seller is responsible for ensuring the delivery of the product. Inform them about the delay and request an update or a refund.

2. Document All Communications
Maintain records of all interactions with both the seller (Lenovo) and the courier company (Delhivery). This includes emails, chat transcripts, and call logs. These documents will be crucial if you need to escalate the matter.

If both the seller (Lenovo) and the courier company (Delhivery) fails to provide a satisfactory response, consider sending a formal notice requesting resolution. This notice should outline the issue, the steps you've taken to resolve it, and your expectations (e.g., delivery of the product or a full refund).

  1. Send a Formal Legal Notice:
    • Draft a legal notice detailing the issue, Delhivery's inadequate response, and your demand for resolution.
    • This can be done through a lawyer or by contacting our team that offer legal notice services.
    • Note: Always send notice via Registered Post only.
  2. File a Complaint with the Consumer Forum:

Case Highlights
Himachal Pradesh - Kangra
- Delhivery V/S Ayushi

Brief facts giving rise to the present complaint are that the complainant had availed the service through online platform (DELHIVERY Direct Express) by placing an order of picking up package containing clothes, personal items and consumables from the chain branch of opposite party at Paprola, Tehsil Baijnath, District Kangra, Himachal Pradesh for delivering the package at the named address i.e., Modani Nest, 823, 2" Floor, 16 A main road, 23B cross road, sector 3, HSR layout, Bangalore, Karnataka-560102 on 18™ of April, 2024 for Rs.872/-. The estimated delivery date of the said order was 24™ April, 2024. The complainant's father had delivered the said package at the chain branch of opposite party at Paprola on 19™ April, 2024. When the complainant checked the status of shipment online it was in transit even after the expected date of delivery i.e. 24™ April, 2024. There was no intimation at the end of opposite party as to the delay of shipment. The shipment arrived at Bangalore Delhivery facility on 6™ May, 2024 and the package was out for delivery on 7*" May, 2024. At last after waiting for such a long duration, she had to cancel the shipment delivery as she was not present at Bangalore on 7™ May, 2024 in order to receive the package. The complainant raised a ticket and she & her father sent numerous e-mails to customer support of opposite party with respect to the delay in delivery of the shipment, but to no avail.

Order
Accordingly, the complaint is allowed and opposite party is directed to pay compensation to the complainant to the tune of Rs.40,000/-, besides litigation cost quantified as Rs.10,000/-.
