I bought a car from asm Hyundai on 7th February. Before buying the car, I was told that the final quotation of the car was Rs. 880000 in which the car which are insurance was Rs. 44,910 by Mr. Gaurav Bhargav and Mr. Puneet Sharma And whereas the insurance given to me is for Rs 23924 I was cheated by shaving my beard and taking more money from me in the insurance. I have been cheated of Rs 20,986 by Mr. Gaurav Bhargav and Mr. Puneet Sharma. When I complained about these people to Hyundai's customer helpline, it did not make any difference to them, instead they started pressurizing me. I have the quotation given by them in which Rs 44910 is written whereas the insurance they have given me is for Rs 23924. I hope that with your help appropriate action is taken against Rahul I have also lodged a complaint regarding this on Hyundai's customer helpline. My Service Request ID is 1-5487432078. My contact no. Is 9754951586. Please help me

It appears that you were quoted ₹44,910 for insurance by the representatives, but upon purchase, the insurance provided was valued at ₹23,924, resulting in an overcharge of ₹20,986. Despite lodging a complaint with Hyundai's customer care, the issue remains unresolved.

Recommended Legal Actions:
  1. File a Police Complaint for Cheating:
The actions described may constitute cheating under Section 415 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), which involves dishonestly inducing a person to deliver property. The punishment for cheating can extend up to one year of imprisonment, a fine, or both.

Visit your local police station to file a First Information Report (FIR) against the individuals involved, providing all relevant documents and evidence.

  2. File a Complaint with the Consumer Forum:
Given the alleged misrepresentation and overcharging, you can file a complaint at your nearest Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission.
Additional Recommendations:
  • Gather Evidence: Compile all relevant documents, including the initial quotation, final invoice, insurance papers, and any correspondence with the dealership and Hyundai's customer service.
  • Seek Legal Help: Consult with our legal professional specializing in consumer rights to guide you through the process and ensure that all legal procedures are correctly followed.
By taking above steps, you can pursue appropriate legal action against the dealership for the alleged fraudulent activity and seek redress for the financial loss incurred.
