Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to formally request a refund for a failed ticket transaction that occurred during my journey with KSRTC on February 15, 2025.

I traveled from Mysore to Devirammanahalli Gate on KSRTC Bus No. KA10-F0525 and attempted to purchase my ticket via UPI payment at 4:49 PM. The payment was successful, but due to a technical issue on your end, the ticket was not generated.

Upon informing the conductor, he was asked to share a screenshot of the successful payment, which I did at 4:54 PM. The conductor then escalated the issue to the higher authority, and after discussion, he informed me that as per their instructions, the refund would be processed within 24 hours. he was advised to purchase a new ticket.

Accordingly, I made another UPI payment at 5:09 PM to buy the ticket.

However, despite 48 hours passing, I have not yet received my refund. I also contacted the Gundlupet depot, where I was again assured that the amount would be refunded within 24 hours. When I followed up, they failed to provide a specific timeframe for the refund.

1. Immediate Steps:
  • Contact KSRTC Support:
    • Email: Send a detailed email to onlinerefund@ksrtc.org with the following information:
      • Transaction ID and UTR number of the failed payment.
      • Date and time of the transaction.
      • Amount debited.
      • Attached screenshots of the transaction and any communication with KSRTC staff.
Wait for 7 days and if the KSRTS is not responding or refunding the amount, revert us back, we will guide you in filing case in the Consumer Forum
