Subject: Consumer complaint against Mumkins Kids Wear, Shop No. 1, Shiv Darshan, Doctor Moose Road, Opp. Nauka Vihar, Naupada, Thane West, Thane – for selling products above MRP.

Respected Sir,

I, Swapnil Rajesh Dcunha resident of 204 Rabecca queen, next to divya prabha ashram, papdy,Vasai West, 401207, Palghar District, phone no 7506666055 wish to file a consumer complaint against Mumkins Kids Wear, located at Shop No. 1, Shiv Darshan, Doctor Moose Road, Opp. Nauka Vihar, Naupada, Thane West, Thane – 400601.

On 29th September 2025, I purchased a gown for my 3½-year-old daughter from the said shop. The gown had a barcode no. M362376. I was charged and billed ₹5,640, which I paid via Google Pay in a rush. However, upon reaching home in Vasai, I checked the packaging and found that the Maximum Retail Price (MRP) printed on the box was only ₹5,350.

When I contacted the shop regarding this discrepancy, their response was unsatisfactory and evasive. This clearly indicates that the shop is indulging in fraudulent and unfair trade practices by deliberately overcharging consumers above the MRP, which is a violation under the Legal Metrology Act, 2009 and the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

This matter is very serious as it reflects a larger conspiracy to cheat and defraud customers.

I, therefore, request you to:

1. Initiate an immediate inquiry against Mumkins Kids Wear.

2. Seize the shop temporarily until proper investigation is completed.

3. Take strict legal and penal action under the Consumer Protection Act and related provisions.

I am enclosing herewith:

Copy of the bill issued by the shop.

Photograph of the MRP printed on the box.

Your prompt action in this matter will protect consumers from such fraudulent practices.

Thanking You,

Yours faithfully,
