Sir/Madam,
I am writing to bring to your attention a duplicate deduction related to my personal loan repayment and to request your urgent intervention.
As per the repayment schedule, my personal loan EMI is deducted from my Yes Bank account on the 5th of every month in favor of ICICI Bank. However, on May 5, 2025, due to insufficient funds in my Yes Bank account, the EMI deduction failed. I subsequently received a message from ICICI Bank indicating a total payable amount of ₹11,580 (including the ₹11,104 EMI, penalty, and GST).
On May 8, 2025, I visited the ICICI Bank Kompally branch Hyderabad and paid ₹11,580 through PhonePe. However, later the same day, the same amount of ₹11,580 was again debited from my Yes Bank account by ICICI Bank.
On May 9, 2025, I revisited the Kompally branch Hyderabad and submitted a written request to reverse the duplicate deduction. Despite this, the amount has still not been refunded to my Yes Bank account as of today, May 16, 2025.
Today May 17,2025 i got SMS from ICICI bank saying, it will take other 6 working days to revert,
Here i am attaching my written letter to ICICI bank and ICICI bank SMS screenshot,
My concern is that a delay of even one day from the customer’s side results in penalties. I respectfully request that the same urgency and accountability be shown by the bank in resolving customer grievances. I urge you to kindly investigate the matter and take the necessary steps to ensure the duplicate payment is refunded at the earliest and the bank should be penalized for delay for each day,
I hope for your prompt action and support in resolving this matter fairly.
