I am filing this complaint against Delhivery for the gross mishandling and damage of my shipment (AWB No: 2827764739731) that resulted in the severe external damage of a hard-shell Skybags trolley bag.
The bag was branded, new, and specifically designed with a hard-case body to withstand regular wear and tear during transit. This was not a soft or fragile item that required special handling instructions. Despite this, the bag was delivered in a condition that is clearly the result of extreme and improper handling.
The damages include:
Upon discovering the damage, I refused to accept the delivery and immediately contacted Delhivery's customer support. I shared multiple emails and images, and explained in detail that the bag was not just scratched or dented but physically broken.
In response, the company repeatedly sent generic responses, stating that the packaging was inadequate and that they cannot process compensation because the shipment was not “properly protected.” This is completely unacceptable for the following reasons:
This kind of treatment is deeply disappointing, and as a customer, I feel ignored and wronged. I believe that this case reflects clear negligence and lack of responsibility from the courier company. I am therefore filing this complaint seeking:

- A broken/cracked hard outer shell
- Bent and damaged locking system

In response, the company repeatedly sent generic responses, stating that the packaging was inadequate and that they cannot process compensation because the shipment was not “properly protected.” This is completely unacceptable for the following reasons:
- The damage is to the outer body of the bag itself, not the contents inside.
- The bag is a hard-case luggage, made to endure standard logistics and cargo handling.
- I had opted for insurance coverage with the shipment, precisely to safeguard against such transit risks.
- If any damage had occurred to the contents inside the bag, I would understand their point regarding packaging. But in this case, the bag itself — the outermost protective item — was broken.
- Delhivery’s repeated justification seems like an attempt to wash their hands of liability, despite the visible and undeniable proof of mishandling.
This kind of treatment is deeply disappointing, and as a customer, I feel ignored and wronged. I believe that this case reflects clear negligence and lack of responsibility from the courier company. I am therefore filing this complaint seeking:
- A full explanation and acknowledgment of responsibility by Delhivery
- Compensation for the damage to my insured luggage
- A directive to ensure such negligence is not repeated for other customers
