My child did not attend school for an entire year, but the school is asking me to pay the full year’s fees before they will issue the Leaving Certificate (LC).
Due to the lapse in my child’s education, I paid the required amount, and only after the payment did the school provide the certificate. I am a single mother, and the school pressured me to pay the fees even after I explained my financial situation and requested that the charges be waived. I am transferring my child to a government school because I cannot afford the fees. Despite explaining everything, the school still refused to issue the certificate until I paid. I would now like to request a refund of the amount I was forced to pay.
