Subject: Urgent Complaint – Defective Refrigerator & Unfair Service Demand
Dear LG Customer Support Team,
I am writing to raise a serious concern regarding my LG refrigerator purchased on 28th July 2024 for ₹43,500. The product came with a one-year warranty. Unfortunately, within one year itself, the door colour started getting damaged, which clearly indicates a product quality issue.
Due to my father’s hospitalization, I was unable to contact LG immediately when the issue started. I reached out to your service team last month, and my warranty was expired but instead of offering support, I was told that I have to pay a huge amount to get this issue resolved. This is extremely disappointing, as the damage appeared just in this one n half year .
Additionally, when we mentioned that we may have to approach the Consumer Court, the LG agent responded rudely saying “Don’t scare us with consumer court.” This is highly unprofessional and unacceptable from a reputed brand like LG.
We are a middle-class family, and investing ₹43,500 in a home appliance is a big decision. We trusted LG for quality and service, but this experience feels like an unfair practice to collect money from customers for a manufacturing defect.
I request LG to:
Provide a free repair or replacement for the damaged door, as the defect appeared .
