KSRTC bus delayed by 4 hours – refund denied and customer service non-functional

I am filing this complaint against Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) for severe deficiency in service and failure of customer support.

I booked a KSRTC bus ticket through the official KSRTC online booking portal with the following details:

Route: Kalpetta – Mysore
Journey Date & Time: 29 December 2025 at 05:55 AM
Bus Number: RS782
Trip Code: 2000TVMMSE
Seat Number: 48
Amount Paid: ₹568
Depot: Trivandrum Depot

I reached the pickup point (Kalpetta) well before the scheduled departure time as instructed. However, the bus arrived approximately 4 HOURS LATE, causing extreme inconvenience, mental stress, and disruption to my travel plans.

Despite receiving multiple SMS messages stating that the bus was “on the way” and being given a live tracking link, the delay was unacceptable and the service failed to meet the promised schedule.

The customer service experience was absolutely pathetic. The helpline numbers provided by KSRTC were either unreachable or non-responsive. There was no proper grievance redressal mechanism available, and I was unable to raise a complaint or obtain a refund despite repeated attempts.

No refund or compensation has been provided till date. This clearly amounts to deficiency in service and unfair trade practice.

I request strict action against KSRTC and a full refund along with appropriate compensation for the inconvenience caused.
