1. Facts of the Case


  1. That I subscribed to Jio Fibre 100 Mbps broadband plan offered by the Opposite Party and paid a sum of ₹3,333 (Rupees Three Thousand Three Hundred and Thirty-Three only) towards the said service.
  2. That from Day 1 of installation, I have never received the promised 100 Mbps speed. The actual speed received is not more than 5 Mbps, which is completely unacceptable and defeats the purpose of the plan.
  3. That I have raised multiple complaints with Jio customer care, but every time the tickets are closed without resolving the issue.
  4. That engineers were assigned on several occasions, but they ignored the issue and failed to provide any permanent solution.
  5. That I attempted to contact the escalation team, but calls never get connected, leaving me helpless despite repeated follow-ups.
  6. That I later discovered numerous similar complaints against Jio Fibre on consumer complaint websites, which shows a pattern of negligence and deficiency in service.
  7. That the Opposite Party has failed to provide the service as advertised, despite taking full payment in advance.



2. Deficiency in Service


The actions of the Opposite Party clearly amount to deficiency in service under Section 2(11) of the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, due to:


  • Failure to provide promised internet speed
  • Closing complaints without resolution
  • Ignoring customer grievances
  • Lack of proper escalation support



3. Mental Harassment & Loss


Due to the negligence of the Opposite Party, I have suffered:


  • Continuous frustration and mental harassment
  • Loss of time and productivity
  • Financial loss for a service not delivered

As a common citizen, I trusted the brand and paid in good faith, but I was treated unfairly.




4. Reliefs Sought


In view of the above facts, I respectfully pray that this Hon’ble Commission may be pleased to:


  1. Direct the Opposite Party to refund ₹3,333 paid by me along with interest.
  2. Award compensation for mental harassment and inconvenience caused.
  3. Direct the Opposite Party to improve service quality or discontinue misleading advertisements.
  4. Award litigation costs incurred by the complainant.
  5. Pass any other order deemed fit in the interest of justice.
