Respected Sir/Madam,
I would like to bring to your notice a serious issue related to the IGL gas connection installed at my residence in the month of December. Immediately after installation, a severe gas leakage problem started, which was caused due to negligence on the part of the IGL installation engineer and their team.
The part used in the gas pipeline during installation was damaged/cracked, which resulted in continuous gas leakage. Due to this leakage, the gas meter recorded 25 units within just 10 days.This situation was extremely dangerous and put my life and my family’s safety at serious risk.
After raising a complaint, the IGL team revisited my residence and replaced the faulty part, accepting the issue. However, due to fear and safety concerns, I stopped using IGL gas completely. Additionally, my LPG cylinder got exhausted suddenly one day, due to which I was left with no option and had to restart using IGL gas again out of compulsion.
I am requesting a refund for the 25 gas units that were wrongly charged due to gas leakage caused by IGL’s negligence. Furthermore, I strongly request that strict action be taken against the concerned engineer and team, as their carelessness could have resulted in a major accident and loss of life.
Despite multiple follow-ups, there has been no proper response or resolution from IGL. Until my refund is processed and the issue is resolved, I will not be paying any further IGL bills.
I kindly request the Consumer Forum to intervene in this matter and help me receive justice at the earliest.
