I am writing to formally raise a grievance regarding my recent Amazon order, which has been wrongly marked as delivered, even though I have not received the package. I placed an order on 11 November 2025 for a Fastrack Smart Watch as a surprise gift for my husband. The full payment for the order was completed successfully from my side. Since my husband was unaware of this surprise order and is generally cautious about online scams, when the delivery agent arrived, he informed him that nobody had placed any order from Amazon. Unfortunately, the delivery agent did not contact me. I received an OTP related to the delivery, but since:
-The delivery agent did not call me,
-The delivery attempt happened one day earlier than the expected date, and
-Amazon messages clearly advise not to share OTPs over the phone or via message,
I could not provide the OTP. However, despite this, the order tracking later showed that the package had been marked as “Delivered to resident”, which is completely incorrect. No one in my household received the package. We have thoroughly checked:
-Our flat
-The security desk
-Shoe racks
-Common areas
-Nearby surroundings
-Neighbours
But the package is nowhere to be found. I raised this issue via the Amazon app and customer care. However, I received an email stating that no refund or resolution could be provided because the order was marked as delivered. After so many calls, the customer support also informed me that since it was delivered without OTP confirmation, they cannot process a refund or replacement.
I would like to highlight that if delivery without OTP is possible, then what is the purpose of sending OTPs to customers in the first place for secure delivery? Secondly, if the delivery agent was unable to deliver the package safely to the resident, why didn’t he initiate a return or offer any alternative options, since the customer did not compel him to deliver the package? How can Amazon assure me that the delivery agent has not taken the package for himself, or sold it to someone else by fooling both Amazon and me?
I am not requesting a refund unnecessarily. I am simply asking for what I paid for, the product that I have not received.
As a genuine customer, I feel completely helpless and disappointed by this experience. This is not professional and unacceptable.
