I hope this message finds you well.
I am writing to formally lodge a complaint regarding a severe service failure and an unfair refund rejection related to my booking with RedBus and Gajraj Bus Service.
I had booked a bus ticket through RedBus for travel on 10 January 2026 at 02:25 AM from Ayodhya to Kathmandu. Unfortunately, the bus never arrived at the designated pickup location mentioned on my ticket.
While waiting at the pickup point, I attempted multiple times to contact the bus driver using the number provided by RedBus (9530034999), but the number was continuously switched off. Later, I received another driver’s number via SMS (+91 7792849999). When I contacted this number, the driver asked for my live location, which I shared immediately.
After that, the driver informed me that he would not come to the pickup location, stating that he was already late. He instead instructed me to travel on my own to Gorakhpur, which was extremely far from my pickup point and completely unreasonable—especially after midnight, with no available transport.
I repeatedly explained that it was not possible for me to reach Gorakhpur at that hour and requested him to come to the original pickup point. He clearly refused and further stated that if I complained to RedBus, my refund would be blocked.
Immediately after this conversation, I contacted RedBus customer support and informed them of the situation in real time. I was advised to return home since the bus was “not coming.” I waited at the pickup point for a long time, but no bus arrived. Eventually, in extreme distress and cold weather, I had to stop a truck and managed to get a lift around 4:00 AM, which was a very unsafe and traumatic experience.
I followed up with RedBus multiple times over several days. Each time, I was asked to wait—first 1 day, then another day, then 3 more days—citing that the bus operator was not responding. Finally, without taking my statement again or asking for any clarification or evidence, RedBus unilaterally concluded that the bus was only 1.5 hours late and rejected my refund request.
This conclusion is completely false and unjust.
I had traveled extensively—from Pratapgarh to Sultanpur and then to Ayodhya—in harsh cold conditions solely to catch this bus. The mental stress, physical exhaustion, and safety risk I endured cannot be expressed in words. The handling of this case has caused me immense distress and financial loss.
I hope RedBus will uphold customer trust and justice by resolving this issue ethically.
