Description of the Grievance:

I am writing to formally lodge a complaint against Flipkart regarding a recurring pattern of unprofessionalism and consumer harassment.

  1. Extortion Attempt (First Order): On the delivery date of my first order (Whirlpool 215 Refrigerator), the delivery personnel demanded additional money beyond the prepaid/agreed invoice amount. Upon my refusal to pay this illegal surcharge, the person took the product back and falsely updated the status as "Rejected by Customer," leading to an automatic cancellation.
  2. Failed Resolution: I reported this incident to Flipkart Customer Care. I was assured that strict action would be taken and was encouraged to place a second order.
  3. Fraudulent Status Update (Second Order): Trusting their assurance, I placed the second order. Today, without any physical delivery attempt or phone contact from the delivery partner, the order was again marked as "Rejected at Doorstep" and cancelled.
  4. Negligence in Support: Flipkart Customer Care has repeatedly expressed "concern" without providing a tangible solution. They are once again asking me to place a third order, showing a complete lack of accountability for their logistics partner’s behaviour.
Demands:

  • Immediate Fulfillment: I request the ConsumerCourt to direct Flipkart to fulfil the order at the original price and terms without further delay.
  • Investigation: A formal inquiry into the logistics partner for attempting to extort money from customers.
  • Compensation: Compensation for the mental agony, loss of time, and the inconvenience of being without a necessary household appliance (refrigerator) for several days due to their internal failures.
