I am filing this complaint against Elica India regarding a chimney I purchased, which has been defective and not functioning properly. Despite raising multiple complaints over the past six months, the company has failed to provide any resolution, repair, replacement, or refund.

Nature of the Problem:​

Shortly after installation, the chimney began malfunctioning. The issues include:

  • Oil continue to drip from the front side of Chimney

I have raised service requests and contacted the company/customer care numerous times since September 2024 but the problem persists. In some cases, I have received response but service requests have been closed without resolution.

Consumer Grievance:​

This delay in service and lack of proper customer support amounts to:
  • Deficiency in service
  • Unfair trade practice
  • Mental harassment
I am extremely disappointed with the after-sales service and lack of accountability by Elica India.

5. Relief Sought:​

I request the Hon’ble Consumer Forum to kindly direct Elica India to:
  1. Replace the defective chimney OR issue a full refund for the product.
  2. Ensure such negligence does not happen to other customers.

We understand that the Elica India has not responded to your emails, despite you having all the necessary supporting documents like bills and photgraphs.

In such a situation, we suggest that you proceed by sending a legal notice to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of the Elica India, formally requesting a resolution of your issue and repair/replace or refund. Kindly allow them a 15-day period to respond to the notice.

If you do not receive any response within this timeframe, please revert to us. We will then guide you through the process of filing a case in the Consumer Forum.
