Hello!! My name is Rajendra Raut. My residential Electricity consumer number for MSEDCL, Pune is 160250211721.
Normally for my 2bhk flat the billing on average comes to 250 Units per month with standard appliances utilized in a flat like Lights, fans, Geyser, fridge, washing machine, TV, Computer, etc. This is going on for over 10 years. But all of a sudden for cycle 3 Nov 24 till 4 Dec 24, the bill is issued for 2100 units which is like a year's bill that happened in one month. Upon receipt I made an online complaint on the MSEDCL website and met also the billing counter, They verified the bill and the answer is noting wrong in billing metering hence upon consumption recorded the bill is generated and I will have to pay. Then I went to the technical department and as suggested paid for meter testing, the team came, took away the meter, and came up with a reply that the meter tested and is ok. I am now in shock, as to what comes next, I told them that I can give an affidavit as I haven't brought any machine or utilized any gadget that can consume over 2000 units in a month. Also, I called the electrician, and he confirmed that no current appliance is drawing extraordinary current.
Please suggest what action I should initiate to stop this INR 43000 bill, which is more than the usual INR 2500 bill per month.
Thank you.
