I, Ritik Mehta, am filing this complaint against OLA Electric Mobility Pvt. Ltd. regarding the wrong delivery of an OLA Roadster X electric scooter with lower specifications than what was advertised and promised at the time of booking.
Key issues:
Motor Power Discrepancy:
I was promised a 11 kW peak power motor, but the delivered scooter has only a 7 kW motor.
This significantly affects performance and is a clear case of misrepresentation.
Braking System Mismatch:
The variant shown on OLA's official website and app mentioned front and rear disc brakes, or CBS (Combined Braking System).
However, my delivered unit has a drum brake, which compromises safety and differs from the selected configuration.
Battery Warranty Issue:
The booking and promotional materials showed an 8-year battery warranty (or up to 80,000 km).
But my account and vehicle documents show a 3-year battery warranty, without any clarification.
These differences are not minor — they directly impact vehicle safety, performance, and long-term value. This is a case of unfair trade practice, and I have been delivered a lower variant despite paying full price based on the advertised specifications.
