I ordered this product on07th May in Amazon’s promotional sale at a cost of INR 8049. Air Fryer was delivered to me on 13th May between 10.50am and 11 am. On this day, I was not present at home to receive the parcel from amazon delivery executive. My daughter received this parcel on my behalf.
Same day, rather at same time, my daughter’s class XII board result was declared by CBSE. As she passed with grand 96% marks, entire family was celebrating my daughter’s achievement all day long.
At night, we started opening all parcels that were delivered on 13th May. While opening this small packet that didn’t match look or size or description of any of the product that we had ordered, I carefully checked the invoice attached on top of the box and found that instead of Faber Air Fryer, a small cheap lunch box made of plastic was delivered. This packed was so small that it could sit on top of my palm. We did not open this box as it was evident that a wrong product was delivered.
I immediately reported this matter to Amazon. I informed Amazon that a wrong product has been delivered and I have not opened this product as this is a wrong delivery. But executive on call insisted that I must open the packed and share the photograph of what has been delivered to me, with Amazon.
I had no option to open the parcel. Using another phone, I made a live video of my call with Amazon executive, showing details of calling number, on speaker amazon executive asking me to open the packet. Before opening the packet, I had captured all sides of the box, with amazon invoice attached on top of it and showing its original, untampered amazon tapes. Then I opened the packet and found an orange coloured lunch box in it. I shared all these photographs with Amazon.
I had captured this entire process and call from Amazon on video on another phone.
Based on my complaint and photographs, Amazon registered my complaint and said that Amazon will do an internal investigation into this matter and will revert back to me after 4 working days.
On 19th May, I called Amazon to find out progress of the matter. I was told that Amazon has found that wrong product was delivered and assured me that full amount will be refunded to me. On 19th May at 18.44, Amazon sent an email to me in this regard.
On 20th May, Same was reconfirmed to me and return pick up of wrong product was scheduled for 21st May by Amazon.
21st May, Return was picked
Since, 21st May until today, there is no update of return packet reaching their warehouse.
On 23rd May, When I called Amazon regarding status of refund, I was told that they will do another internal investigation and will revert regarding refund after 4 days.
There is no update from Amazon, regarding picked up packet, reaching their warehouse even until today, 05th June.
On 28th May, I called Amazon regarding refund amount, I was told that in their internal investigation, they have found that I have not returned same product that was delivered to me, that is, a faber air fryer. Hence, no refund will be given to me and there is no further step to escalate this matter to any higher authority at Amazon for further investigation and proper resolution. Hence, this case will be closed by Amazon.
And since then, there is no update, reply from Amazon.
