Dear Sir/Madam,
I would like to raise a formal complaint regarding my flight booking made through MakeMyTrip for travel from Bangalore to Abu Dhabi on 18th (Etihad Airways) and return from Dubai on 21st (Emirates).
Due to the ongoing war crisis, airlines had communicated that passengers unwilling to travel could raise cancellation requests under special consideration. When I approached MakeMyTrip, their team initially assured me that they would take up the matter with the airline. However, I was advised to first cancel the tickets before any such request could be initiated.
Based on this guidance, I proceeded with the cancellation through MakeMyTrip. Subsequently, I was informed that an airline penalty amounting to ₹99,750/- would not be refunded. I also contacted the airlines directly, but they advised that since the booking was made through an agent, the request must be processed only via MakeMyTrip.
Despite multiple follow-ups, MakeMyTrip has not provided adequate support or resolution regarding the refund of the airline penalty. I request your urgent intervention to facilitate the refund of ₹99,750/- and resolve this matter at the earliest.
