Subject: You letter Oct 14. 2025 regarding SB interest applicable on my matured FDs 014043600002221-3 (in the name of Varun Sundar), 014043600002242-3 (in the name of Chitra Sundar), and 0140442000010161-1 (in the name of Sundar Balakrishnan)



Dear Sir,



This refers to your above letter wherein I am informed that since I had not submitted our KYC documents, my FDs will have only SB interest for the period from the date of maturity to the date of submission of KYC documents.



In the above regard, I would like to state that I had visited your bank on Aug 16, 2025 for the renewal of my FDs which were in the auto renewal mode. However, I was told that my KYC was due and my FDs were not auto renewed. It was only on this date on Aug 16, 2025 when I visited your bank that I came to know that my KYC was due. I had submitted all our KYC documents on Aug 16, 2025 and your SMS confirmation for having accepted my KYC was delivered to me on my cell on Aug 20, 2025. In this regard, as per your letter, you yourselves have stated that your system was not updated with our contact numbers nor our email ids. You have stated that you have sent written communication to my above address for submission of KYC. I would like to state that I have not received any such communication from you regarding the submission of KYC. I would like you to produce my acknowledgement of your letter sent to me. In case you have sent the request for submission for KYC through the Indian Post, I would like you to provide the date on which it was sent and also the consignment number.



Further, as per the calculations provided by your branch, my FD interest based on applicable FD interest rate upto Sept 30, 2025 on all the above three FDs works out to Rs 44, 568/-. However, as per the SB rates my interest payable is Rs 18,278/-. There is huge loss of Rs. 26, 270/-. Recently, I had missed my KYC submission to SBI. I had submitted my KYC with a considerable delay. They have not penalized me for non-submission of KYC.




Based on my submission, I request you to give interest based on applicable FD interest rate so that I will not be put under huge loss of Rs, 26,270/-, especially a senior citizen like me whose major income is from interest.
