Subject: Complaint regarding sale of unsafe and defective Dairy Milk chocolate causing health risk
Respected Sir/Madam,
I, (Your Name), resident of (Your Address, Pin code), would like to lodge a formal complaint against the DAIRY MILK CHOCOLATE Form NAVEEN MEDICAL, located at Narsingi Circle, Narsingi Village – 500089, and the distributor Govind (Mobile: 9030452991) for selling unsafe, defective, and unhealthy food products, specifically a Dairy Milk chocolate.
Details of the Incident
On 13/11/2025, between 9:00 PM to 11:00 PM, my brother purchased a Cadbury Dairy Milk Chocolate (MRP ₹95) from Naveen Medical.
Upon opening the chocolate, we observed:
Bad and foul smell
Discoloured appearance (not matching the usual chocolate colour)
Chemical-like taste, suggesting the product was unsafe for consumption
This clearly indicates adulteration, spoilage, or improper storage, making it harmful and unfit for human consumption.
On 14/11/2025, I visited the shop to report the issue. The distributor for Dairy Milk, identified as Govind (Mobile: 9030452991), was also mentioned by the shop.
Grounds of Complaint
This act amounts to:
Unfair trade practice
Sale of defective and unsafe food items
Violation of Consumer Protection Act, 2019
Violation of Food Safety and Standards Act (FSSAI) regarding sale of expired or contaminated food products
Such negligence poses serious health hazards to consumers.
Relief Sought
I request the Hon’ble Commission to kindly:
Direct the Dairy milk company and distributor Govind to provide a full refund (₹95).
Award compensation for mental agony and inconvenience caused.
Impose penalty on the shop and distributor for selling unsafe, chemically contaminated food.
Direct authorities to conduct inspection and take action under FSSAI norms.
Order the Dairy milk company to maintain proper storage and hygiene for all food products going forward.
