Respected Sir/Madam,

I, Seema Shrish Shukla, aged 46 years, residing at D-504, Garden Residency-1, South Bopal, Ahmedabad, hereby submit this complaint against Mr. Shyamu Kanujya, Mobile No.91703 63396, Rixa No. GJ38W A8120 who provides door-to-door ironing services in Garden Residency-1, South Bopal, Ahmedabad, for deficiency in service and unfair trade practice.

1. Facts of the Complaint

  • On 21-11-2025, I handed over 15 clothes (formal shirts and trousers) to the Opposite Party for ironing at my residence.
  • The Opposite Party assured me that the clothes would be returned on 25 or 26 November 2025.
  • Despite repeated follow-ups, the Opposite Party has failed to return my clothes till date.
  • I contacted him personally and through phone/WhatsApp and requested his shop address, but he neither provided any satisfactory response nor returned my clothes.
  • I also sent a legal notice on 03-12-2025 through WhatsApp granting 48 hours to return the clothes, but he did not respond.
  • The approximate value of the lost clothes is INR 50,000.
The actions of the Opposite Party amount to deficiency in service, negligence, and unfair trade practice, causing me financial loss and mental harassment.

3. Reliefs Sought

  • I humbly request the Hon’ble Commission to:
  • Direct the Opposite Party to return the clothes immediately, or
    compensate me for their value amounting to INR 50,000.
  • Award compensation of INR 1,00,000 for mental harassment and inconvenience.
  • Award litigation costs as deemed appropriate.
  • Pass any other order that the Hon’ble Commission may deem fit in the interest of justice.
4. Jurisdiction

The cause of action arose at South Bopal, Ahmedabad, and the Opposite Party carries on business within the jurisdiction of this Hon’ble Commission. Therefore, this complaint is maintainable before this Commission.

5. Declaration

I declare that the facts stated in this complaint are true and correct to the best of my knowledge and belief, and that no other complaint regarding the same matter is pending before any court, tribunal, or authority.
