Subject: Complaint Regarding V-Guard Water Motor and Lack of Service Resolution
Sir/Madam,
1. I, Gopal Singh, purchased a V-Guard water motor on 26 June 2024 from Mahender
Singh Hardware Store (Invoice No. 231) for Rs. 4500/- (invoice attached). However, upon
installation, I found that the motor was defective, with multiple manufacturing faults,
causing inconvenience and financial loss.
2. I immediately reported the issue to both Mahender Singh Hardware Store and V-Guard
customer service. I also raised a service request (SR 1-6330106783) with V-Guard. I
received a message stating that service would be provided within 48 hours, but no action
was taken.
3. Since the product is under warranty, I am entitled to free repair, replacement, or refund.
So, I filed a consumer complaint on 18 July 2024 (Docket No. 601927). Even after this
complaint, no resolution was provided.
4. After three months, another complaint was filed with the consumer forum, and a second
Docket (No. 6400034) was issued for the same complaint. I was advised to take the matter
to consumer court.
5. When I was about to submit my complaint online through E-Dakhil, I received a call on
November 29, 2024, from Miss Alessia, Case Manager (Legal Forum), regarding the
issue. She informed me of a one-time refundable charge of Rs. 1769 for filing my
complaint, which Isubsequently paid on December 24, 2024. However, after this payment,
she mentioned an additional refundable charge of Rs. 8000. Since she had previously
stated that Rs. 1,769 was the only required payment, I refused to pay the additional amount.
She then advised me to demand the following:
• A full refund of Rs. 4500/- for the defective product.
• Labour charges of Rs. 6000/- incurred due to the faulty motor.
• Compensation of Rs. 10,000/- for the mental stress and inconvenience caused.
6. Since I have not received any resolution despite multiple complaintsI want to file legal case
in National Consumer Forum.
Sincerely,
Gopal Singh
