I, Sobha Swain, had taken a Personal Loan from Unity Small Finance Bank. At the time of taking the loan, a certain amount was deducted from my loan amount for Health Insurance / Medical Insurance. The bank and the insurance company informed me that whenever required, I would receive medical claim benefits from this insurance.
On dated 06/07/2025, my husband was admitted to the hospital and he was discharged on 10/07/2025. Similarly, my husband was admitted to the hospital twice, but unfortunately, till today I have not received any Medical Insurance Claim.
For the claim, I have repeatedly visited the office, hospital, and concerned departments and have faced a lot of harassment. During this process, I have spent approximately ₹4000 (Four Thousand Rupees) as additional expenses. Mentally also, I have suffered a lot.
This clearly amounts to Deficiency in Service and misleading the consumer. Therefore, I humbly request the Honorable Consumer Court to:
Approve and release my Medical Insurance Claim at the earliest
Reimburse my additional expense of ₹4000
Provide suitable compensation for mental harassment
For justice, I am submitting this complaint.
