Dear Sir/Madam,
I am raising a serious complaint regarding my booking with TNSTC Kumbakonam Corporation as per the following details:
PNR No.: B70531369
Trip Code: 1617THACOIKK05L
Journey Date & Time: 07/09/2025 at 16:17 hrs
Route: Thanjavur → Coimbatore
Seats: 14, 15, 16
Class: Deluxe 3x2
Boarding Point: Thanjavur New Bus Stand
Fare Paid: ₹720 (Booked on 06/09/2025)
We reached Thanjavur New Bus Stand by 3:30 PM on 07/09/2025 and waited for the scheduled bus. Even after the departure time (4:17 PM), there was no update or communication from your side regarding the bus. On enquiry with the BM and timekeepers present, they had no information about this bus. The BM personally tried to contact various depots and offices, but every response indicated that no such bus was available in the system.
This left us completely stranded at the bus stand. We had already traveled from Thanjavur town to the New Bus Stand by auto, and finally, due to lack of any official intimation or support, we had to again spend money on an auto to reach Thanjavur Railway Station and purchase a general ticket to Kerala, just to reach our home at Thrissur by the next morning.
This entire incident has caused us mental distress, physical hardship, and financial loss, as:
- No prior intimation was given about the bus cancellation/non-availability.
- No call, message, or official update was provided despite our confirmed booking.
- We incurred additional expenses (autos, railway tickets) due to TNSTC’s failure.
We are attaching all booking details for your reference.
We request a proper explanation from the responsible authorities and an assurance that such incidents will not be repeated. Further, we expect compensation/refund for the inconvenience and additional expenses caused by this negligence.
Kindly treat this complaint as urgent and provide us with a clear resolution at the earliest.
