I, Krishnadas Ambat, residing at Flat No.304, Tower II, Challenger CHSL, Thakur Village, Kandivali (E), Mumbai 400101, wish to lodge a formal complaint against Shri Pavan Kanuga, M/s.Articon, having office at 205, Dimple Arcade, Thakur Complex, Kandivali East, Mumbai 400066, (Mob : 9730772262) for deficiency in service and breach of contract in relation to interior design and execution work undertaken at my residence.
1. Background
Despite repeated assurances and telephonic conversations, the architect failed to deliver the project as per agreed specifications and timeline. The following deficiencies were observed:

Subject: Complaint regarding deficiency in service by architect in interior work
Respected Sir/Madam,
I, Krishnadas Ambat, residing at Flat No.304, Tower II, Challenger CHSL, Thakur Village, Kandivali (E), Mumbai 400101, wish to lodge a formal complaint against Shri Pavan Kanuga, M/s.Articon, having office at 205, Dimple Arcade, Thakur Complex, Kandivali East, Mumbai 400066, (Mob : 9730772262) for deficiency in service and breach of contract in relation to interior design and execution work undertaken at my residence.
1. Background
- In the third week of March 2025, I engaged the services of the architect for interior design and execution work at my property located at the above said Address.
 - The scope of work included, three bathrooms, one bedroom and kitchen with an agreed timeline of three months and a total project cost of ₹.20 lakhs approx. However, to begin with one bathroom was selected and work began on it in the month of May 2025.
 - A group was formed on the whatsapp and all details were informed on the same, and I made payments totaling ₹.1,96,000/-, including advance and stage-wise installments.
 
Despite repeated assurances and telephonic conversations, the architect failed to deliver the project as per agreed specifications and timeline. The following deficiencies were observed:
- Delay in execution: The project, was completely derailed and remains incomplete as of today.
 - Substandard workmanship: Several elements such as fixation of broken tiles, incomplete plumber work, non fixing of exhaust fan, mirror and other attachment and improper fixation of profile lights apart from dirty work and totally unclean work.
 - Non-responsiveness: The architect has been unresponsive to calls and emails, and has failed to rectify the defects despite multiple reminders. He finally, informed that he will not fix anything which is left incompete.
 
Due to the architect’s negligence and unprofessional conduct:
- I have suffered mental agony, inconvenience, and financial loss.
 - I have to incur additional expenses to rectify certain defects and hire alternate professionals to complete the work.
 
I request the Hon’ble Forum to:
- Direct the architect to refund ₹.50,000/- towards deficient services.
 - Award compensation of ₹.25,000/- for mental agony and inconvenience.
 - Direct the architect to bear the cost of rectification and completion of pending work.
 - Impose appropriate penalties for breach of contract and professional misconduct.
 
I humbly request the Forum to take cognizance of this matter and initiate appropriate proceedings.
