Complaint Against Yamaha Motors – Warranty Claim and Service Delay
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to formally lodge a complaint against Yamaha Motors India Pvt. Ltd. and their authorized service center (Safety Motors Yamaha Authorized Service Center) for unfair practices, delay in service, and denial of warranty claims for my Yamaha Fascino (Chassis No. ME1SEJ29BN0031296).
Details of the Issue:
1. I purchased the vehicle on 04/02/2023, and it is still under warranty.
2. On 9th January 2025, my vehicle was serviced at the authorized service center.
3. On 11th January 2025, the vehicle started experiencing issues again. I visited the service center on 13th January, but they failed to resolve the issue promptly. Instead, they requested two additional days to inspect the vehicle, which was not feasible due to Pongal holidays.
4. Later that day, my vehicle completely broke down, leaving me stranded on the road for over two hours. After assistance arrived, the service staff informed me that I had to pay ₹10,000 for repairs despite my vehicle being under warranty.
5. I lodged a complaint with the service center, but even after 10 days, there has been no resolution or response.
Nature of Grievance:
Denial of warranty claims without valid justification.
Delay in providing timely service, causing inconvenience.
Poor customer support and lack of accountability from the service center.
Relief Sought:
I kindly request the Consumer Forum to:
1. Direct Yamaha Motors and the service center to honor the warranty and repair my vehicle without any additional charges.
2. Compensate me for the inconvenience caused due to their negligence and delay in service.
3. Ensure such issues do not occur with other customers in the future.
