Dealer Name: TVS Agwan Gandhinagar
Address: Plot No, 17/A, GTS Road, Thermal Power Plant Area, Sector 30, Gandhinagar, Gujarat 382030
I placed an order on Flipkart for TVS Raider 125 (Split Seat Model with Wicked Black Colour) on 22nd September, 2025. The order is awarded to "TVS Agwan Gandhinagar" as per the address pincode. So, I received a call from TVS Agwan Gandhinagar on Saturday 27th September , 2025 regarding the same.
The dealer first confirmed my order with model & colour details, then asked me to deposit 16900 for RTO & insurance charges, I suspected some inflated charges for RTO & insurance combined, so told him that I don't want to buy insurance from you (dealer).
This dealer told me that out of 16900, 7414 will be used for insurance. But I'm getting the insurance from Acko in around 4414, so he is asking for 3000 extra. And I'm not ready to pay those extra money.
After hearing this, he immediately threatened me that if you don't buy insurance from us (dealer) then we can't provide you the vehicle. I said I've already paid the ex showroom price to flipkart & if flipkart has assigned you as the dealer, then it comes under your goodwill to provide the vehicle after necessary RTO charges, but instead he forced me to buy insurance from dealer.
But he did not hear me & cut the call. After some time, I tried to call him, but he didn't pick up. I'm frustrated with this kind of dealer, expecting some relief from consumer court.
We all know that there is clear directive by IRDAI, on insurance of new vehicle purchase that if buyer has preference of buying insurance from outside then he can exercise his choice, no one can force him to insurance. So asking this consumer court forum to help me out. Already it's been 14 days since I've placed my order, I need my vehicle.
I've already filed a complaint via TVS customer care support number, 1800 258 7111, on 29th September, 2025. Still now, they've even failed to respond. I haven't heard a single call from this giant company like TVS. So out of frustration, I'm here at consumer court for justice.
I've call recording available in regional language (Gujarati), if required I can furnish them.
