Dear Sir/ Madam,
This is to raise complaint against Adidas brand india for quality issues in the shoes which I bought from Adidas store in pachgaon ,manesar , gurugram outlet upon my visit to India in August.
I live and work outside India in Addis Ababa . Soon after purchase of the shoe I left the country on work and witnessed quality issues with the product soon thereafter.
As I am working for an international intergovernmental organisation ,my frequent visits are not possible to the country and I could visit India only in December thereafter for my annual leave . My only fault is that I didn't write to the company within 90 days as i was outside the country and couldn't think of just writing so that my complaint is registered within 90 days .
Soon reaching the country I started my communication with Adidas by first visiting the outlet and then writing to their consumer service team . However ,each time I was cited the warranty policy of 90 days which I was not able to adhere to due to my posting outside the country .
I shared all pictures of the product with invoice with a request to the company to treat it as an ' exceptional case' to safeguard the brand equity. However, to my utter dismay I was constantly given the same answer citing the warranty policy and period and their quality team didn't find the request admissible !.
I believe for a brand like adidas in the interest of customer relations 'warranty policy' need to be relaxed in special circumstances and review should be undertaken if genuine cases are brought to the notice by such brands rather than summarily rejecting those again and again.
With this mail I am registering my complaint for redressal with following asks
-company to be made responsible
- for selling me a bad quality product which developed issues soon after couple of days of purchase
- company not being considerate of the fact that I was posted outside India and could not visit India within 90 days of warranty period and couldn't write am email which is my only fault in this case
- company to be asked to replace the poor quality product sold to me on discounted price which was worth to be discarded as a product rather than being sold.
Just to add that I can produce evidences that I didn't visit India after August and my visit in December was the latest visit when I reached out to the company after dealing with my health-related issues .
Unfortunately, I returned to my duty station on the 12th January receiving a mail that my claim is rejected
I started to write to the company soon after physically visiting their outlet upon my India visit
Look forward to redressal of my grievances as a customer who buy brands based on quality assurance and based on brand equity .
Sincerely,
Shubhangi
